This reconfiguration and extensive refurbishment of an end of mews house creates a modern family home. The tight site is opened up by extending the timber-clad entrance through into the living space and, at the rear, a fully glazed kitchen conservatory - the positive and negative forms of the two extensions create a spatial tension around a new central gas fireplace.

Oak doors and details are continued through to provide warmth to the otherwise minimal interior design.
